COUNTERMOVEMENT JUMP REBOUND
CMJ-RE TEST TYPES
The CMJ Rebound Test Type can be customized by creating and applying a TAG. Below are common CMJRE tags. It is important to note no tag in the system implies "hands on hip."
The CMJ Rebound is a unique hybrid test of the CMJ (slow stretch-shortening cycle) & Drop Jump (fast stretch-shortening cycle). This test can be completed by performing 2 maximal CMJ attempts maximizing jump height for both attempts. Or 1 maximal CMJ attempt and 1 CMJ as quick as possible minimizing time on the ground - utilizing limited knee flexion.
The Hawkin Performance Team recommends using the 2 maximal CMJ options during the last stage of the Return To Play process. It can also be substituted as an alternative for the Drop Jump, with much less of a learning curve for novice athletes - utilizing the 1 maximal CMJ first and 1 quick off-the-ground CMJ second.
