The Difference USA invented The Difference Ultimate Striking Machine, a portable hand placement striking pad and system designed to be used by athletes of all ages and sports to optimize their athletic performance. Developed in the weight room of Ohio State Football, The Difference can be utilized at any time in a sport’s season and provides a variety of physiological benefits.
Anthony Schlegel, President of The Difference USA and Inventor of The Difference Ultimate Striking Machine said, “I am thrilled about our new partnership with Hawkin Dynamics. Working in close collaboration, The Difference and Hawkin have elevated the ultimate strike machine by making it compatible with the Hawkin TruStrength. Hawkin TruStrength is a portable fixed dynamometer, designed to provide users with valid and reliable data.

The Ultimate Strike Machine was specifically designed to build proper hand placement and striking techniques, which are critical in more advanced football play. By combining Hawkin’s expertise in sports science and The Difference’s mastery of portable, heavy-duty performance, you will be able to receive instrumented feedback on strike force in real-time, anywhere.
The Hawkin Team met up with The Difference where it all began at Ohio State Football to test and pilot the new solution. As coaches, the goal is to get players to hit with intent and ferocity. This solution allows you to know that you’re creating maximum intent. After getting a chance to assess it, Mickey Marotti, Associate AD, Director of Football Sport Performance for the Buckeyes added “This machine helps identity if intent was there. Hitting this thing with something to measure is going to help prepare the upper body for contact and explosiveness. I love it.”
